Over a two year period, Schoolhouse Studios in Abbotsford, Melbourne had been the workplace of over 75 artists working across a wide range of disciplines. The demolition of the site was planned for the end of 2012, resulting in the displacement of the tenants. So founders Elizabeth Barnett & Alice Glenn, in conjunction with Melbourne International Arts Festival, curated a two-week, site-wide exhibition to celebrate and commemorate this unique space. To coincide with this wonderful event, Schoolhouse Studios commissioned a 160 page book that featured some of the art, personalities and events that have graced this special community over the years.
